We are more than just a charging map

Charge Deals is committed to providing a win-win for both electric vehicle (EV) drivers and local economies. From rural towns to large cities, our goal is to help drivers make an enjoyable use of their charging dwell time.

A Historic Opportunity for Economic Development

Transitioning from an internal combustion engine (ICE) to an EV requires a lifestyle change. Although many EV drivers have the ability to charge at home or work, the use of public charging is needed for traveling long distances. Instead of refueling at a gas station for a few minutes, EV drivers are stuck at charging stations for longer periods of time. We recognized this as an opportunity for EVs to help revitalize American businesses and local economies.

History

In the summer of 2022, we were granted permission from three Midwestern towns with EV charging stations to pilot an idea. We partnered with businesses within walking distance of these stations to offer coupons to EV drivers charging in their town, with hopes that they'd plug in and patronize businesses. During this pilot, nearly 25% of drivers redeemed a deal at one or more nearby businesses, which was validation to continue this mission.

In early 2023, the Charge Deals website and mobile apps were launched, allowing for a large-scale expansion of both local and online deals for EV drivers in locations across the United States.
